ABOUT US
Charlie Osborne, LCSW
Hello, my name is Charlie. I work with individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress who feel like their patterns are no longer working for them. Together, we will work on finding the root of these patterns and the variables that have contributed to developing these patterns in the hopes of developing strategies to assist clients with lasting change.

My goal is to be a conduit in a client's process for change. I have lived in many states throughout my life and worked with diverse clients. I have seen individuals in all walks of life experience substantial transformations throughout therapy. The ability to witness these transformations is why I do what I do in life.
I earned a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi. I have nearly a decade of clinical experience.
In my career thus far, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient Mental Health treatment facilities. I have also worked in an agency that specializes in working with children who have been sexually/physically abused and adult survivors of sexual/physical abuse.
I have taken so much from each of these steps in my journey as a therapist.
We will begin by getting to know one another during an individual therapy session.
I am a mix of empathy, compassion, and humor, able to be blunt when needed.
I practice a variety of therapeutic modalities, but my foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
What can you expect from me in a therapy session? I am compassionate, direct, and practical and use evidence-based techniques in sessions. I also enjoy sharing a laugh with a client. I do not take "a one size fits all" approach to therapy, and I adjust treatment to your specific needs. I will seek feedback to ensure you get the most out of treatment.
I will help you with distinct techniques and skills to overcome a challenge. We can do that if you need to talk through a situation to make sense of it and glean an outside perspective. If you are still determining what would be helpful, I can be directive and assist you. I strive to make therapy as beneficial for you as possible. If this sounds like a good fit, please call me, and let's chat further.

Jake Nilson, CSW
Hello, my name is Jake. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma who want to work through their issues and behavioral patterns that are no longer serving them.
We will work together to discover the origins of these behavioral patterns, issues, and the variables that have played a part in developing these patterns. I aim to be a channel in a client's journey for change and provide strategies for long-term change. I have observed individuals from all walks of life experience meaningful transformations throughout my volunteer work and therapy. Witnessing these transformations is the reason why I do what I do. Over the past several years, I have volunteered in the recovery community. I earned a Master's in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. Thus far in my career, I have worked in outpatient Mental Health treatment facilities. I have taken so much from each of these steps in my journey as a therapist. During an individual therapy session, we will begin by getting to know one another and your life history. I am a combination of empathy, sympathy, and humor. I can be straightforward when necessary. In my practice, my primary focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I also practice a variety of therapeutic modalities.
What can you expect from me in a therapy session?
I am empathetic, compassionate, and reasonable, and utilize evidence-based practice techniques in therapy sessions. I also enjoy using humor with a client. I take an individualized approach to therapy, and I will make adjustments to treatment to meet your specific needs. I will seek your feedback to ensure you get the most out of treatment. I will help you with well-defined skills and techniques to overcome your challenges. We can utilize talk therapy if we need to talk through a situation to understand it and obtain an outside perspective. I can assist you in determining what would be most helpful. My goal is to make therapy as beneficial for you as possible. If this sounds like a good fit, please call me, and let's chat further.

Whitney Hurst, CSW
Hi, I’m Whitney! I’m passionate about providing authentic, compassionate care and creating meaningful connections through life’s challenges.

I offer client-centered, holistic care to support your growth and healing. With experience working with individuals facing complex mental health challenges, including severe mental illness and psychosis, I provide a safe, judgment-free space to foster resilience and balance. I believe in healing the whole person, recognizing the profound connection between mind and body.

Using a strengths-based approach, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am deeply committed to trauma-informed care and empowering individuals to embrace their authentic selves without fear of judgment.
Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, or life transitions, I am here to walk alongside you and help you build a fulfilling, authentic life.

Stephanie Younger-Stuart, LCSW
I am highly regarded for my ability to connect with individuals, maintain composure in crisis situations, and foster a positive, accepting environment through my sense of humor and empathetic approach.

My career in social work began in 1995. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies from Weber State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Utah State University. My academic background, combined with personal experiences, has fueled my passion for helping others find hope and resilience during difficult times.

Throughout my professional journey, I have gained experience working with children and families affected by addiction, abuse, neglect, and domestic violence. My expertise encompasses child and adolescent therapy, anxiety and depression, trauma, grief and loss, school-based issues, attachment, adoption, and self-esteem.

I have a particular passion for supporting children and adolescents as they navigate and overcome life's obstacles. I believe in the therapeutic power of humor and actively incorporate a lighthearted, compassionate approach to help my clients feel safe and understood. My own commitment to mental health is reflected in my engagement with my family and community.

Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping and spending time in the mountains with my family—free from the distractions of technology. I cherish my roles as a wife, mother, and Nana. I find joy in cooking (especially anything potato-related), exploring new restaurants and food trucks, and sharing family dinners, games, and movies. I believe laughter is some of the best medicine and try to find opportunities for humor while not taking myself too seriously.

My goal is to create a supportive and safe environment where children can heal, grow, and discover their strengths. I view each individual as unique, collaborating closely with clients to develop personalized therapeutic strategies tailored to their needs.
I am inspired by the words of Tori Amos: “Healing takes courage, and we all have courage even if we have to dig a little to find it.”

Brad Reyns, PhD, CSW
I’m Brad. I joined Gratitude Counseling Services in 2026. I wanted to become a therapist to help people through challenging times in their lives and contribute to the well-being of our community.

If you are feeling anxious, depressed, unmotivated, or stuck, let’s talk about how we can develop a plan to reclaim your sense of purpose. Together, we’ll identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are making you feel this way. Once we identify what’s going on, we can develop skills and coping strategies to help interrupt these cycles. In psychological terms, we will explore strategies from a strengths-based perspective, incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practice.

I believe that therapy works best when it’s a genuine human connection. Throughout the therapeutic process, clients learn to look inward and gain insights about themselves. I will bring sensitivity, empathy, and a good sense of humor to our sessions. This process provides a path to resolution and fulfillment in one’s life. It is my role to help guide you along the way.

Outside of the office, I find that having a sense of play and movement is just as important as the work we do in a session. I might be swimming laps to stay grounded or doing something nerdy like playing a video game or hunting for old comic books. I look forward to meeting you and seeing if we’re a good fit.

Hannah Laney, MSW-I
Hi my name is Hannah. I am an MSW-I currently pursuing my Master of Social Work degree at Boise State University. As part of my clinical training, I completed my first-year internship at a residential treatment center specializing in addiction and mental health. Prior to my current graduate degree, I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Holy Family University in Philadelphia and an M.Ed from George Mason University. I bring a diverse background to the mental health field, with experience in inpatient psychiatric care, case management, and substance use treatment.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, integrative, and client-centered. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches. I am also in the process of becoming trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to traditional clinical methods, I have a deep appreciation for holistic practices. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2016 and have completed additional training in restorative yoga and Reiki.

I am especially passionate about working from an existential framework, supporting individuals in exploring meaning, purpose, and authenticity in their lives. Additionally, I have a great love for Jungian psychology and working from a depth work perspective. I believe that therapy is a creative process of continuous self-exploration and I strive to support individuals in that journey. I aim to create a compassionate and collaborative space where clients feel empowered to navigate challenges and move toward greater fulfillment.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, and relaxing with my cat, Laszlo.

Ashley "Shiba" Hill, CSW

I bring over 22 years of law enforcement experience, where I worked closely with individuals in crisis and high-stress situations. After retiring in 2025, I transitioned into social work to continue helping people in a more therapeutic setting.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Weber State University in 2023 and my Master of Social Work in 2026. I am trained in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I currently work part-time in a recovery center supporting individuals with substance use.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be glad to work with you.

Caitlin Rae Dillman, MSW-I
I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, where I am developing advanced clinical skills with a focus on trauma-informed care. I recently completed my field placement at GMS Counseling, where I facilitated and co-facilitated group therapy sessions addressing substance use, domestic violence, and cognitive-behavioral skill development.
My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed frameworks. I have a particular interest in working with adult survivors of complex trauma, including individuals impacted by sexual exploitation and chronic adversity. My work emphasizes building strong therapeutic relationships, fostering emotional safety, and helping clients develop insight into the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Drawing from both academic training and hands-on clinical experience, I am committed to culturally responsive, strengths-based care. I am especially interested in integrating research with practice to improve outcomes for marginalized populations. Long-term, I plan to pursue licensure and establish a private practice specializing in trauma recovery and resilience.

Kameo Anderson, CSW
Hi, I’m Kameo, a clinical social worker with a Master of Social Work degree from Weber State University. I work with both children and adults, supporting clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, are struggling with self-confidence, or want to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I also help children and families navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, and behavioral concerns in a supportive, engaging environment.
My professional background includes working in law enforcement, where I gained extensive experience supporting individuals impacted by crime and trauma. I have completed over 100 hours of crisis intervention training in both law enforcement and social work capacities, and I am a Certified Crisis Worker in the state of Utah. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how life experiences, environments, and physical well-being all play an important role in mental health.
I approach therapy from a holistic, mind-body perspective, recognizing that our emotional well-being is connected not only to our thoughts, but also to our physical health and the environments we live in. I work collaboratively with clients to help them feel better internally through measurable, meaningful change.
I have a special interest in working with children and families, including unique family dynamics such as blended families. My work is grounded in attachment theory, and I incorporate principles from Structural Family Therapy and the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) model. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which guide my work in helping clients process trauma, build trust, strengthen emotional connections, and develop effective coping and regulation skills.
Whether I am working with children, parents, or adults, I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My goal is to help clients build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop the tools they need to navigate life with greater clarity and resilience.
I believe that the relationship you have with your therapist is one of the most important parts of the process, and finding the right fit really matters. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable, supported, and understood—and I encourage you to trust your instincts in deciding whether I feel like the right fit for you.
Outside of my work, I enjoy staying active and connected to the world around me. I was born and raised in Texas and moved to Utah in 2016, and now I love taking advantage of the outdoors as much as possible. In the winter, I’m often found skiing or snowboarding in the mountains, or playing pond hockey. In the summer, I enjoy paddleboarding, exploring new hiking trails, and going on road trips. I’m passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and building strong, supportive relationships within families and communities.
